Introduction: SkinHealth UK is part of Check4Cancer Ltd, a company that provides early cancer detection services for breast, bowel, lung, cervical and prostate cancer. SkinHealth UK currently offers three distinct services: SkinCheck, Skin Diagnosis & OneStop Skin.
SkinHealth UK
1 SkinCheck: early skin cancer detection for asymptomatic clients.
SkinHealth UK offers a comprehensive screening service for early skin cancer detection, branded as SkinCheck. SkinHealth UK has a large number of corporate clients nationwide who sign up for our skin cancer screening program. With SkinCheck, the initial history and examination is performed by skin cancer specialist nurses who are trained in dermoscopy, and images are reported remotely by Senior Consultant skin cancer specialists. Patients with lesions that are suspicious following initial assessment, or require closer scrutiny, are referred to skin cancer Senior Consultants for further assessment and probable biopsy/treatment at a “see and treat” appointment.
2 Skin Diagnosis: nurse-led triage & telemedicine reporting for symptomatic clients.
Our nurse-led skin cancer diagnostic network has been established to provide rapid access and assessment for patients with a worrying skin lesion(s). Following initial assessment of symptoms by telephone, insured and self-pay clients are allowed direct access to the diagnostic network. The nurse-led triage and telemedicine reporting take place as for asymptomatic clients. Patients with lesions that are suspicious following initial assessment are referred to skin cancer Senior Consultants for further assessment and probable biopsy/treatment at a “see and treat” appointment.
3 OneStop Skin: Senior Consultant “see & treat” network.
Senior Consultants in our OneStop Skin network can receive referrals from SkinCheck, SkinDiagnosis or direct referrals via SkinHealth UK. Senior Consultants can see patients with skin lesions that are suspicious of cancer, or require removal for cosmetic or functional reasons.

SkinHealth UK has established a comprehensive early skin cancer detection service, for both asymptomatic and symptomatic patients, under the guidance of Clinical Director Mr Per Hall, Senior Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge. Per has more than 20 years of research and clinical experience in the early detection of skin cancer.
All client data, including the skin cancer risk assessment questionnaire and images for each skin lesion, is securely stored on our online Client Management System. This enables our reporting Senior Consultants to evaluate the potential melanoma risk, and generate a comprehensive report for each lesion. Network Senior Consultants to whom clients are referred are able to review the images and the reports.
