Abdominoplasty

An abdominoplasty or ‘tummy tuck’, removes excess skin and fat in the lower abdomen and tightens the rectus abdominis or ‘six pack’ muscle underneath. It may be done to remove lax skin and to tighten the muscles after having children or after losing weight. It is not a substitute for losing weight and patients who do best are already at their ideal weight. Miss Hunter performs a range of different techniques and during your consultation, she can advise the best procedure for you. A tummy tuck can be combined with liposuction.

Brachioplasty (inner arm lift)

Inner arm lift surgery involves removing excess skin from your upper inner arm above the elbow, sometimes extending into your arm pit; this procedure is usually performed for patients who have lost a lot of weight and who have folds of skin in this area. The scars can be tailored to the position of excess skin but usually they are long vertical scars in the inner aspect of your upper arm which will be hidden when the arms are held by your sides but otherwise will be visible however the contour should be improved and sleeves should fit more easily. Miss Hunter may combine the excision with liposuction.

Inner thigh lift

This procedure will help you achieve a body that is firmer, more youthful-looking and more proportionate to your overall body image. Thigh lifting is also addressed by body lift procedures.

There are two types of thigh lift procedures, medial and standard:

  • Medial thigh lift, is a surgical procedure to reduce excess skin and fat on the upper portion of the inner thigh, giving a firmer appearance. It is performed by removing a crescent of skin and fat from the upper portion of the inner thigh creating a horizontal scar.
  • Standard thigh lift, includes the removal of excess loose skin and fat to reshape, tone, and firm the upper leg; generally as a result of weight loss. The scar in this procedure is oriented both vertically and horizontally.

Labiaplasty

A labiaplasty or labial reduction surgery is a cosmetic gynaecology surgical procedure that reshapes and reduces the labia minora / majora, the inner and outer lips that surround the opening of the vagina.
