Charing Cross Hospital in Hammersmith, West London

Charing Cross Hospital · Fulham Palace Road, Hammersmith (West London)
Miss Hunter holds her initial in-person consultations at Imperial College Healthcare Private Care / Thames View, the private unit on the 15th floor of Charing Cross Hospital. She also operates there when the procedure or the patient’s clinical needs make it the more appropriate setting. Despite its name, the hospital is in Hammersmith, West London (Fulham Palace Road, W6 8RF), not central London or Charing Cross itself. It is part of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, where she holds her NHS consultant post. The private unit is within an NHS teaching hospital, with full hospital backup on site, including intensive care and other specialties if required.
Her NHS base within Imperial College Healthcare at Charing Cross is one of the highest-volume centres for free-flap breast reconstruction in the UK, and the same surgical experience informs the private practice based here.
It is an easy part of West London to reach: Barons Court and Hammersmith Underground stations are each about a ten-minute walk, with direct buses to the door, and the River Thames is close by.
Arriving for your appointment
Patients attending clinic at Charing Cross Hospital should arrive via Fulham Palace Road and take the private lift to the 15th floor. The 15th floor is exclusively private, with treatment rooms, clinic rooms and private rooms.
Please follow signs to Private Outpatients and report to reception, where you will be directed to the waiting area. If you need to change your appointment or are running late, please contact Sophie.
You do not usually need to bring much to your consultation, although previous medical records can be helpful if relevant. If you are considering breast augmentation with implants, it can be useful to bring a bra and a close-fitting top. These can be worn while trying implant sizers, helping you and Miss Hunter assess the kind of volume and shape you may wish to achieve. You are welcome to attend alone or with a friend or family member.

- Parking: Parking is possible but can be limited.
- Private lift: A dedicated private lift serves the 15th-floor Private Outpatients.
