Breast Surgery in London

Breast surgery is the focus of Miss Hunter’s private practice. Each consultation begins with what you would like to change, what is troubling you and what may realistically be possible — considering your anatomy, suitability, recovery and aftercare.

Miss Hunter will consider your medical background, anatomy and suitability for surgery before discussing the available options, their limitations, recovery, risks and expected aftercare. As a female plastic surgeon with substantial breast and reconstructive experience, she is often approached by patients who value a careful, realistic and personal discussion about what may be possible for them.

The emphasis is on natural results, proportion and suitability rather than over-promotional cosmetic language. Where more than one approach could help, Miss Hunter assesses your wishes, needs, anatomy and what is realistically possible before advising whether breast augmentation with implants, breast fat transfer, breast uplift or reduction, or a combination, is appropriate.

Miss Hunter has an extensive library of before-and-after photographs of her own patients. These are reviewed during consultation rather than shown publicly, so that patient confidentiality is protected and relevant examples can be chosen for your individual discussion.

Common questions about breast surgery

Which breast procedure is right for me?

That is decided together at consultation. Miss Hunter assesses your aims, breast shape and volume, skin quality, nipple position and medical background before advising whether reduction, uplift, augmentation, fat transfer or a combination is appropriate.

Will I have scars?

Breast surgery involves scars, and their pattern depends on the procedure. Miss Hunter explains the likely scar pattern and how scars typically mature, and gives scar-care guidance as part of your aftercare. The expected scar pattern is confirmed at consultation.

Are these cosmetic or reconstructive procedures?

Both. Miss Hunter’s breast practice spans cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, and some patients need a combination — for example uplift or reduction to match a reconstructed side.

How do I know if I am suitable?

Suitability is assessed by Miss Hunter at consultation, taking account of your aims, medical background, anatomy and what is realistically possible. Sophie can tell you whether an enquiry is the kind of work Miss Hunter takes on before you book.

Will I see before-and-after photographs?

Yes — during consultation. Relevant examples from Miss Hunter’s own patient library are reviewed with you privately. They are not published online, for confidentiality.

What does recovery involve?

Recovery varies between patients and procedures. General guidance is given here and in your patient information sheet, and individual advice on work, driving, the gym, lifting and travel is given by Miss Hunter around your consultation and surgery.

Who do I contact afterwards?

Sophie coordinates queries before and after surgery and escalates to Miss Hunter directly where clinical input is needed.
